How Do You Convert PNG to PDF?
To convert PNG to PDF, add your PNG images, choose a page size (Same as image, A4 or US Letter), an orientation and a margin, keep “Combine all images into one PDF” switched on for a single file, then click Convert to PDF and download the result. Teasoft's converter runs in your browser, so your images are never uploaded, and each PNG is placed in the PDF losslessly, so screenshots, text and transparent graphics stay crisp.
A PNG to PDF converter takes one or more PNG images, such as screenshots, charts, diagrams or scanned pages, and puts each one on its own PDF page. A PDF is easier to share, print, email and upload than a folder of images: it keeps the pages in order, looks the same on every device, and is the format most online forms and portals ask for.
Everything happens on your own device. The converter loads a small PDF library into your browser, builds the PDF there and hands it straight to you. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe to use for private screenshots and documents such as ID cards, certificates, bank statements and signed forms.
Pick your page size:
| Page size | What you get | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Same as image | Each page is the exact size and shape of its image, with nothing cropped and no white border. | You want the PDF to look exactly like your screenshots or graphics, or the images are all different sizes. |
| A4 | Standard 210 × 297 mm pages, used in India, Europe and most of the world. | You will print the PDF or upload it to a form or portal that expects A4. |
| US Letter | Standard 8.5 × 11 inch pages, used in the US and Canada. | You will print in North America, or the person receiving it asked for Letter size. |
Common reasons to convert PNG to PDF:
- Screenshots of a website, app or chat combined into one document for a report or bug ticket.
- Charts, graphs and diagrams exported as PNG and shared as a single PDF.
- Scanned documents, certificates or mark sheets saved as PNG for an online application.
- Design mockups, logos and UI drafts sent to a client for review.
- Infographics, slides or notes saved as images and turned into a printable handout.
- KYC, visa or job portal uploads that only accept PDF files.
What each setting does:
| Setting | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Page size | Same as image, A4 or US Letter. | Same as image for a clean digital PDF. A4 or US Letter for printing and forms. |
| Orientation | Auto turns each page to match its image (wide images get landscape pages). Portrait or Landscape sets every page the same way. | Auto for a mix of images. Portrait for documents. Landscape for wide screenshots, charts and dashboards. |
| Margin | No margin, Small margin (about 10 mm) or Big margin (about 20 mm) of white space around each image. | No margin for on-screen viewing. Small or Big margin for printing, so nothing gets cut off at the edges. |
| Combine all images into one PDF | On: one PDF with one page per image. Off: a separate PDF for each image, downloaded together as a ZIP. | On for a single document. Off when every image needs to be its own file. |
Orientation and margin apply to A4 and US Letter pages. With Same as image, each page simply matches its image.
Good to know
- Only PNG images are accepted. The tool takes .png files. For JPG photos or WebP images, use the JPG to PDF or WebP to PDF tool.
- Pages follow the order you add the images. To change the order, clear the list and add the images again in the order you want.
- Your PNG quality is kept. PNGs go into the PDF losslessly, with transparency kept. In the rare case a PNG can't be added directly, it is redrawn on a white background at high quality.
- Big images make big PDFs. Because nothing is compressed, the PDF is about the size of all your PNGs added together. Use Compress PDF if a portal has an upload limit.
- Up to 50 images, 150 MB each. The first conversion needs an internet connection to load the PDF library, but your images still stay on your device.
What You Can Do With This Tool
- Convert PNG to PDF in your browser. No software to install and no account to create.
- Combine many PNGs into one PDF. Each image becomes one page, in the order you added them.
- Make a separate PDF for each PNG. Turn off Combine and get all the PDFs in a single ZIP download.
- Choose the page size. Same as image, A4 or US Letter.
- Set the orientation. Auto, Portrait or Landscape.
- Add a margin. No margin, Small margin or Big margin for a clean printed look.
- Keep lossless quality. PNGs are placed in the PDF without quality loss, so text in screenshots stays sharp.
- Keep transparency. Transparent PNG backgrounds are preserved in the PDF.
- Convert up to 50 images at once. Each file can be up to 150 MB.
- Drag and drop or browse. Add images from your computer or phone, and remove any you don't need.
- Keep your files private. Images are processed on your device and never uploaded.
- Free with no watermark. No sign-up, no hidden fees and no logo on your PDF.
Which PDF Tool Should I Use?
Use PNG to PDF when your images are PNG files, such as screenshots, diagrams or graphics. If your images are JPG photos or WebP files, use JPG to PDF or WebP to PDF instead. To join the new PDF with other files, use Merge PDF, and if it is too large to upload, use Compress PDF.
How to Convert PNG to PDF (3 Steps)
Add your PNG images
Drag and drop, click Add, or browse to pick your PNG files. You can add up to 50 images, each up to 150 MB, and remove any you don't need.
Choose the settings
Pick the page size, orientation and margin. Keep “Combine all images into one PDF” on for a single file, or turn it off for one PDF per image.
Convert and download
Click Convert to PDF, then Download. A single PDF downloads directly, and separate PDFs come together in one ZIP file.
Tip: for documents you will print or upload to a government, university or job portal, choose A4 with a Small margin. For screenshots and graphics you only want to share on screen, Same as image looks cleanest.
Which Settings Should I Use?
| Your goal | Page size | Orientation | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scanned documents for an online form | A4 | Portrait | Small margin |
| Screenshots for a report or bug ticket | A4 | Auto | Small margin |
| Diagrams, notes or slides to print | A4 | Portrait | Small margin |
| Design mockups or graphics to share | Same as image | Automatic | Not needed |
| Wide screenshots or dashboards to print | A4 | Landscape | Small margin |
| Printing in the US or Canada | US Letter | Auto | Small or Big margin |
These are starting points. Open the PDF and check every page before you send or upload it.
One PDF or separate PDFs?
| Choose | When |
|---|---|
| One combined PDF | The images are pages of the same document, such as a set of screenshots for a report, a multi-page certificate or a scanned booklet. |
| Separate PDFs (ZIP) | Each image is a different document, for example when a portal asks for your ID, photo and marksheet as separate files. |
Do I need a margin?
For printing, yes. Most printers can’t print right to the edge of the paper, so a Small margin stops the edges of your image being cut off. For a PDF that will only be viewed on screen, No margin uses the whole page.
What does Auto orientation do?
It looks at each image and uses a landscape page for wide images and a portrait page for tall ones, so every image fills as much of its page as possible. Choose Portrait or Landscape if all pages must face the same way.
Getting better results from screenshots and PNG images
- Capture at normal zoom. Take screenshots at your screen's usual size so text stays large and sharp in the PDF.
- Crop before you convert. Trim toolbars, tabs and empty space with Crop Image so each page shows only what matters.
- Mind transparent backgrounds. Transparency is kept, so transparent areas show the white page. Light text or white logos may need a background added first.
- Split very long screenshots. A full-page scrolling screenshot is shrunk to fit one page. Crop it into parts if the text becomes too small to read.
- Check every image first. Zoom in to make sure text is readable. A blurred image will still be blurred in the PDF.
After you convert to PDF
- Join it with other files. Use Merge PDF to add your new PDF to other PDF documents.
- Make it smaller. Large PNG images can make a large PDF. Use Compress PDF to fit email and portal upload limits.
- Fix a page that faces the wrong way. Use Rotate PDF to turn any page.
- Sign or protect it. Use Sign PDF to add your signature, or Protect PDF to add a password.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert PNG to PDF?
Open Teasoft's PNG to PDF Converter, add your PNG images, choose the page size, orientation and margin, and click Convert to PDF. Then click Download to save your PDF.
How do I combine multiple PNG images into one PDF?
Add all your images, keep “Combine all images into one PDF” switched on and click Convert to PDF. Each image becomes one page, in the order you added them.
Is the PNG to PDF converter free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no hidden fees.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is created in your browser and your images never leave your device. Only a quick Cloudflare Turnstile security check contacts the server, and it never receives your files.
Does converting PNG to PDF reduce image quality?
No. Each PNG is embedded in the PDF losslessly, so text, lines and colours look exactly like the original. Only a rare PNG that can't be embedded directly is redrawn on a white background as a high-quality image.
Can I make a separate PDF for each image?
Yes. Turn off “Combine all images into one PDF” before you convert. Each image is saved as its own PDF, and all the PDFs download together in one ZIP file.
What page sizes can I choose?
Same as image (each page matches its image), A4 (210 × 297 mm) or US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches).
Can I change the page orientation?
Yes. Auto gives wide images a landscape page and tall images a portrait page. Choose Portrait or Landscape to make every page face the same way. Orientation applies to A4 and US Letter pages.
Can I add a margin around the images?
Yes. Choose No margin, Small margin (about 10 mm) or Big margin (about 20 mm). The image is scaled to fit inside the margin without being cropped.
Can I change the order of the pages?
Pages follow the order in which you add the images. To change it, clear the list and add the images again in the order you want, or add them one at a time.
Why is my PDF file so large?
Because your PNGs are added without quality loss, the PDF is roughly the size of all your images added together. If you need a smaller file, run it through Compress PDF.
Will transparent PNG backgrounds be kept?
Yes. Transparency is preserved in the PDF, so transparent areas show the white page underneath in most PDF viewers and when printed.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 50 images in one go, each up to 150 MB.
Which file types does it accept?
PNG images (.png) only. For JPG photos use JPG to PDF, and for WebP images use WebP to PDF.
Can I convert screenshots to PDF?
Yes. Screenshots are usually saved as PNG, so you can add them directly. Choose Same as image for an exact copy, or A4 with Auto orientation for a printable document.
Will my PDF have a watermark?
No. Your PDF contains only your images, with no watermark or logo added.
Can I convert PNG to PDF on my phone?
Yes. The tool works in the browser on Android phones and iPhones, so you don't need to install an app.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes, to open the page, load the PDF library and run the security check. The conversion itself happens on your device, and your images are never uploaded.
