Twitch Text Formatter

Format Twitch chat messages, bios and stream titles with bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, fancy fonts, lists and emojis, then copy and paste in one click.

Twitch chat has no formatting toolbar and does not render Markdown, so every chat message, bio and stream title shows as plain text. This free Twitch text formatter fixes that. Type or paste your message, select words and make them bold, italic, underlined or strikethrough, switch to fonts like script, Fraktur, monospace or double-struck, and add bullets, checkmarks, numbered lists, dividers and emojis. A live stream chat preview and a 500-character counter show exactly how your message will look before you send it. Everything runs in your browser, free, with no sign-up and no watermark.

How Do You Format Text in Twitch Chat?

To format text in Twitch chat, type or paste your message into the editor above, select the words you want to style and click B, I, U, S or a style from the Fonts menu. Then click Copy message and paste it into Twitch chat, your channel bio or your stream title. The styling uses Unicode characters, so every viewer sees it on desktop, mobile and TV apps without any extension.

Twitch chat, whispers, profile bios and stream titles accept plain text only. There is no bold button, and Markdown such as **bold** or _italic_ appears as raw symbols. Styled Unicode letters are ordinary characters to Twitch, so they survive copy and paste and look the same for everyone in chat.

The formatting happens in your browser, so your message is never uploaded or stored. You get a preview that looks like a real Twitch stream chat, with your username, a subscriber badge and the Send a message box, plus a live character and word count against Twitch’s 500-character chat limit. Undo, redo, paste from clipboard, sample text and download as a .txt file are all built in.

Bold: Best for giveaway keywords, raid calls, deadlines and your channel name in your bio.
Italic: Good for quotes, inside jokes, game titles and soft emphasis in chat.
Underline and strikethrough: Mark a rule or deadline, or cross out an old schedule time for a laugh.
Lists: Turn chat rules, stream schedules and bot commands into lines viewers can scan.
Fancy fonts: Make your bio header, panel titles and hype messages stand out.
Emojis and dividers: Use a few to separate bio sections and flag going live, not in every line.

Writing a Twitch message that is easy to read:

After you format your text, you can paste it into Twitch chat, whispers, your channel bio, stream titles, panel descriptions and chat bot commands, on the Twitch website, the mobile app or the TV and console apps.
