Pinterest Text Formatter

Format Pinterest pin descriptions with bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, fancy fonts and lists, then copy ready-to-paste text in one click.

Pinterest has no bold or italic buttons for pin descriptions, so plain text blends into the feed and key details get missed. This free Pinterest text formatter fixes that. Type or paste your pin description, select words and make them bold, italic, bold italic, underlined or strikethrough, or switch them to fonts like script, monospace, Fraktur, double-struck or small caps. Add bullets, checkmarks and numbered lists, insert dividers and emojis, tidy the spacing, then check the live pin preview and the 800-character counter before you copy. Your text never leaves your browser, and the tool is free with no sign-up and no watermark.

How Do You Format Text on Pinterest?

To format text on Pinterest, type or paste your pin description into the editor, select the words you want to change and click B (bold), I (italic), BI (bold italic), U (underline) or S (strikethrough). Open Fonts for script, monospace, Fraktur, double-struck or small caps, and Lists to turn lines into bullets or numbered steps. Then click Copy description and paste it into the Description box when you create or edit a pin.

Pinterest descriptions do not support Markdown, HTML or rich text, so this tool uses Unicode styled characters that keep their bold, italic or underlined look wherever you paste them. The same styled text can also be used in board descriptions, your profile About section and Pinterest comments.

The formatting happens in your browser, so your pin description is never uploaded or stored. You get a preview that looks like a real Pinterest pin, with a pin image, Save button, pin title, profile name and the …more cut-off, plus a live character and word count against Pinterest’s 800-character description limit. Undo, redo, paste from clipboard, a sample description and download as a .txt file are all built in.

What You Can Do With This Tool

Which Pinterest Text Style Should I Use?

Use bold for hooks, prices and calls to action, italic for quotes and side notes, underline or strikethrough for short emphasis, and lists for ingredients, steps and features. Keep styled text short so your pin description stays easy to read and easy for Pinterest search to understand.

Bold: Best for the opening hook, key benefits, sale prices and calls to action like “Save this pin”.
Italic: Good for quotes, product names, recipe notes and short side comments.
Underline and strikethrough: Show emphasis, old prices, sold-out items and expired offers.
Lists: Turn ingredients, steps, supplies, features and tips into clean, scannable lines.
Fancy fonts: Make brand names, blog series and collection titles stand out.
Emojis and dividers: Use a few to separate sections and guide the eye, not in every line.
