How Do You Generate a Random D&D Character?
Choose a race and class, or leave them on Any, and click Roll a character. You get a complete starting idea, such as a Chaotic Good Tiefling Warlock with the Charlatan background, with six ability scores already rolled. Roll 3 or 6 at once to compare options.
Random characters are perfect for one-shots, new players, quick NPCs and creative challenges. Ability scores use the classic 4d6 drop-lowest method: roll four six-sided dice and add the highest three, for each of the six abilities. Apply your racial bonuses and class rules from your rulebook.
Characters are rolled on your own device. Every result uses your browser’s secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), and nothing you type is sent to Teasoft.
