Why Convert SVG to PNG?
SVG to PNG conversion turns a vector image (SVG) into a pixel-based PNG image. The SVG is redrawn at the size you choose, so the PNG stays sharp, and transparent backgrounds are preserved. Use it when a website, app, document, email or social platform doesn't accept SVG files.
SVG is a vector format. Instead of storing pixels, it stores shapes, lines and curves, which is why logos and icons look perfectly sharp at any size. That makes SVG ideal for websites and design work.
But not everything accepts it. Many social media platforms, email tools, slide decks, document editors, marketplaces, app stores and print services want a plain image such as PNG. Converting your SVG to PNG gives you a file that works nearly everywhere while keeping its transparent background.
Common reasons to convert SVG to PNG:
- You need a logo for social media profiles, posts or ads.
- A platform, form or email tool says "PNG or JPG only".
- You are placing an icon or graphic into a slide deck, Word document or Google Slides.
- You need a fixed-size image for an app store listing, plugin or website theme.
- You want a transparent-background version of a logo to place over photos.
- You need to share a graphic with someone who can't open SVG files.
Good to know:
- PNG has a fixed size. Unlike SVG, a PNG can't be scaled up later without losing sharpness. That is why you choose the size when you convert. Pick a larger scale if you'll need the image big.
- Keep your SVG. The SVG remains your editable master. The PNG is a copy for places that need a plain image.
- Fonts and linked images can change the result. See the tips section below.
What You Can Do With This Converter
- Choose the output size. Pick 1×, 2×, 3× or 4×. The SVG is redrawn at the new size rather than stretched, so edges stay sharp.
- Transparent by default. Transparent areas in your SVG stay transparent in the PNG. Prefer a solid colour? Change the background setting.
- Convert in bulk. Add up to 50 SVG files at once, each up to 100 MB, and download them all as one ZIP.
- Private by design. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded to a server. Safe for client logos and unreleased designs.
- Add files your way. Drag and drop, browse, or paste with Ctrl+V.
- No sign-up, no watermark, no fees.
- Works on any device. Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone, in any modern browser.

Tips to Get a Clean PNG From Your SVG
Convert at a larger size than you think you need
You can always shrink a PNG, but you can't enlarge it without blurring. If a logo might be used big later, convert it at 2× or more.
Use a transparent background for logos
A transparent PNG sits cleanly over photos, coloured pages and slides. Use a solid background only when the destination can't handle transparency or you want a specific colour behind it.
Watch out for fonts and linked images
An SVG can refer to fonts or images that live outside the file. If those aren't embedded, the browser may substitute a different font or skip the image, so the PNG can look different from what you expect. Before converting, convert text to outlines (or "paths") in your design tool and embed any images inside the SVG.
Check the edges against light and dark backgrounds
After converting, open the PNG on both a white and a dark background to confirm that edges and shadows look clean.
Where to keep the SVG instead
For websites, apps and design systems, SVG is usually the better choice because it stays sharp at every size and often has a smaller file size for simple graphics. Keep PNG for places that don't accept SVG.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert SVG to PNG?
Open Teasoft's SVG to PNG converter, add your SVG files, choose a size (1× to 4×) and background, click Convert to PNG and download the results as individual files or a ZIP.
Does converting SVG to PNG keep the transparent background?
Yes. With the background set to Transparent, see-through areas of your SVG stay transparent in the PNG. You can also pick a solid colour instead.
Will my PNG look sharp?
Yes, at the size you choose. The SVG is redrawn at the new size instead of stretched, so edges stay crisp. Very large sizes are limited by your browser's memory.
What size will my PNG be?
The PNG is based on the dimensions defined in your SVG, multiplied by the scale you pick (1× to 4×). A 4× scale gives four times the width and height of 1×.
Why is my PNG blurry when I enlarge it?
A PNG is made of pixels, so enlarging it later makes it soft. Convert from the SVG at a larger scale instead, or keep the SVG for uses that need arbitrary sizes.
Should I use SVG or PNG for a logo?
Use SVG for websites, apps and design files, where it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG for social media, email, slide decks, documents and any platform that doesn't accept SVG.
Why does my PNG look different from my SVG?
The usual cause is fonts or images that are linked rather than embedded in the SVG. Convert text to outlines and embed images in the SVG before converting.
Can I convert SVG to JPG instead?
JPG doesn't support transparency. If you need a JPG, convert the SVG to PNG first, then use Teasoft's PNG to JPG converter and choose a background colour.
Can I convert many SVG files at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 SVG files in one batch, each up to 100 MB, and download them all as a ZIP.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens in your browser, and your files are never uploaded.
Can I convert SVG to PNG on my phone?
Yes. The converter works in the browser on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers. You do not need to install an app.
Is the SVG to PNG converter free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no hidden fees.
