Images to PNG Converter
Convert any image to lossless PNG, even a mixed batch, in one go.
Drop in JPG, HEIC, WebP, GIF, TIFF, PSD, SVG, AVIF, BMP, ICO or PDF files and turn them all into PNG at once. Transparent backgrounds are kept, and PNG output is lossless, so edits and re-saves won't add compression loss. Add up to 50 files, download PNGs one by one or as a ZIP. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Why Convert Images to PNG?
Converting images to PNG turns files in other formats (such as JPG, HEIC, WebP, GIF, TIFF, PSD, SVG, AVIF and BMP) into PNG, a lossless format that keeps transparent backgrounds and opens in almost every editor, design tool and document app. It is the right choice for logos, screenshots, graphics and images you plan to keep editing. Teasoft's converter handles mixed formats in a single batch.
PNG is the format designers, developers and presenters rely on. It keeps every pixel exactly as it is, it supports transparent backgrounds, and nearly every program can open it. If you have a pile of images in different formats and need them to work in design software, slide decks, websites or documents, PNG is a safe, high-quality common ground.
Common reasons to convert images to PNG:
- You need a transparent-background version of a logo, icon or graphic.
- A design tool, editor or platform asks for PNG and rejects other formats.
- You want a lossless working copy that won't degrade each time you edit and save it.
- You have a mixed folder (WebP downloads, HEIC photos, SVG logos, PSD exports) and want one consistent, widely supported format.
- You are placing images in slide decks, documents or website builders.
- You want to keep screenshots and text-heavy graphics crisp.
PNG at a glance:
| PNG | |
|---|---|
| Compression | Lossless (no detail discarded on save) |
| Transparency | Supported |
| Compatibility | Almost every editor, browser, design tool and document app |
| File size | Larger than JPG, especially for photos |
| Best for | Logos, icons, screenshots, graphics, editing |
| Animation | Not supported (first frame only) |
Good to know
- PNG doesn't add quality. Converting a JPG, HEIC or WebP to PNG keeps the picture exactly as it looks, but can't restore detail the original format already discarded.
- PNG doesn't add transparency. A JPG or HEIC photo has no transparent areas, so its PNG will have the same solid background. Remove backgrounds in an editor afterwards if you need transparency.
- Files get bigger. Lossless storage costs space. A PNG made from a photo can be several times larger than the original JPG. If size matters, JPG or WebP is a better choice.
- Animations become still images. Animated files such as GIF are saved as a single frame.
What You Can Do With This Converter
- Mixed formats in one batch. Add JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF, PSD, AVIF, ICO and PDF files together.
- Transparency kept. Where the source has transparent areas (such as PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF or SVG), they stay transparent in the PNG.
- Lossless output. PNG adds no compression loss, so there is no quality slider to worry about.
- Convert in bulk. Add up to 50 files at once, each up to 100 MB, and download them all as one ZIP.
- Private by design. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded to a server, which matters for client logos, unreleased designs and personal photos.
- Add files your way. Drag and drop, browse, or paste with Ctrl+V.
- No sign-up, no watermark, no fees.
- Works on any device. Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone, in any modern browser.

Which Image Formats Can You Convert to PNG?
| Format | What it is | What to know when converting |
|---|---|---|
| JPG / JPEG | Compressed photos | The PNG looks the same but is larger. No transparency is added. |
| HEIC / HEIF | Default iPhone photo format | Large lossless files. Live Photos become stills. |
| WebP | Modern web image format | Transparency is kept. Animated WebP becomes a still image. |
| AVIF | Newest web image format | Transparency is kept where the source has it. |
| GIF | Simple graphics and animations | Animated GIFs are saved as their first frame. |
| SVG | Vector graphics, logos, icons | Converted to a pixel image. For a larger, sharper PNG, use SVG to PNG’s 1×–4× scale. |
| PSD | Photoshop files | You get a flattened picture. Layers are not kept. |
| TIFF / TIF | Scans and professional photos | Files are large. Multi-page TIFFs can be split into pages. |
| BMP | Uncompressed Windows bitmaps | Lossless copy, often much smaller than the BMP. |
| ICO | Icons and favicons | Small icons give small images. |
| Documents | For control over resolution (72, 150, 300 DPI) and background, use the dedicated tool. | |
| PNG | Already PNG | Converting PNG to PNG changes nothing. |
Tips for mixed batches
- Keep the original files until you've checked the PNGs.
- If some files need special handling (for example a PDF at 300 DPI, or an SVG at 4×), convert them separately with the dedicated tool.
- For photos where size matters, convert to JPG or WebP instead of PNG.
- Need transparent PNGs from photos? Remove the background in an editor after converting.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert images to PNG?
Open Teasoft's Images to PNG converter, add your files (any supported format, even mixed), click Convert to PNG and download the results as individual files or a ZIP.
Which formats can I convert to PNG?
JPG/JPEG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF/TIF, PSD, ICO and PDF. You can mix formats in one batch.
Can I convert different formats at the same time?
Yes. Add JPG, HEIC, WebP and other files together and convert them all in one go. You don't need to sort them by type first.
Does converting to PNG keep transparency?
Yes, where the source has transparent areas, such as PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF and SVG. Formats without transparency, such as JPG and HEIC, produce a PNG with a solid background.
Can I make a JPG transparent by converting it to PNG?
No. A JPG has no transparent areas, so its PNG has the same solid background. Use an editor or background remover on the PNG to make parts transparent.
Does converting to PNG improve quality?
No. PNG keeps the image exactly as it appears, but it can't restore detail that formats such as JPG already discarded. The benefit is that the PNG won't lose more quality when you edit and save it.
Why is my PNG bigger than the original?
PNG is lossless, so it stores more data than compressed formats such as JPG, HEIC, WebP and AVIF. A larger PNG is normal, especially for photos. If you need smaller files, use Teasoft's Images to JPG converter.
What happens to animated images?
Animated files, such as animated GIFs, are saved as a still image. Only a single frame is kept.
Should I convert to PNG or JPG?
Choose PNG for logos, icons, screenshots, graphics, transparency and editing. Choose JPG for photos, sharing and the smallest files.
How many images can I convert at once?
You can add up to 50 files in one batch, each up to 100 MB.
Can I convert a PDF to PNG here?
Yes, PDFs are accepted. For control over resolution (72, 150 or 300 DPI) and background, use Teasoft's dedicated PDF to PNG tool.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens in your browser, and your files are never uploaded.
Can I convert images to PNG on my phone?
Yes. The converter works in the browser on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers. You do not need to install an app.
Is the Images to PNG converter free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no hidden fees.
