Files Stay in Your Browser
Up to 50 Files, Mixed Types
Drop images here or browse
JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF, PSD, AVIF, ICO and PDF. Up to 50 files, 100 MB each. You can also paste with Ctrl+V.
Each PDF page (and each page of a multi-page TIFF) becomes one JPG, up to 100 pages. Very large pages are scaled down to fit your browser’s memory.
Lower quality makes smaller files. 85–92% looks identical for most images.
JPG can’t store transparency, so transparent areas (PNG, GIF, WEBP, SVG…) are filled with this colour.
Private by design: your images are processed in your browser and never uploaded. Protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Why Convert Images to JPG?
Converting images to JPG turns files in other formats (such as PNG, HEIC, WebP, GIF, TIFF, PSD, SVG, AVIF and BMP) into JPG, the most widely supported image format. Do it when a website, form, app or device won't accept your file type, or when you want smaller files and one consistent format. Teasoft's converter handles mixed formats in a single batch.
Images come in dozens of formats, and not everything opens or uploads everywhere. A screenshot is a PNG, an iPhone photo is HEIC, a picture saved from a website is WebP or AVIF, a scan is TIFF, a design file is PSD. Then a form says "JPG only", or a colleague's computer can't open the file.
JPG is the common ground. It opens on virtually every phone, computer, browser, app and print service, and files stay small. This tool lets you throw a whole mixed folder at it and get JPGs back, without working out each file's format first.
Common reasons to convert images to JPG:
- A form, portal or marketplace accepts only JPG.
- You have a mixed folder of photos, screenshots and downloads and want one consistent format.
- A file won't open on a phone, in an email or in an older program.
- You want smaller files that are easier to email, upload and store.
- You need to share images with people who use different devices.
- You're preparing images for a website, document or presentation.
JPG at a glance:
| JPG | |
|---|---|
| Compatibility | Almost every device, browser, app and print service |
| File size | Small, adjustable with the quality slider |
| Best for | Photos, sharing, email, uploads, web |
| Transparency | Not supported (filled with a colour you choose) |
| Animation | Not supported (first frame only) |
| Compression | Lossy |
Good to know
- JPG is lossy. Every conversion slightly compresses the image. Keep your originals for anything you may want to edit later.
- Transparency becomes a colour. JPG can't store transparent areas, so they're filled with the background colour you pick (white is the usual choice).
- Animations become still images. Animated files such as GIF are saved as a single frame.
- Sharp graphics can soften. For logos, screenshots with small text and flat-colour graphics, PNG is often a better format than JPG. Use JPG when you need compatibility or a small size.
What You Can Do With This Converter
- Mixed formats in one batch. Add JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF, PSD, AVIF, ICO and PDF files together.
- Convert in bulk. Add up to 50 files at once, each up to 100 MB, and download them all as one ZIP.
- Control the quality. The slider starts at 90%. Lower values make smaller files, and 85–92% looks identical for most images.
- Choose the background colour. Pick white, black or any colour to fill transparent areas in PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG and similar files.
- Private by design. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded to a server, which matters for personal photos, IDs and client work.
- Add files your way. Drag and drop, browse, or paste with Ctrl+V.
- No sign-up, no watermark, no fees.
- Works on any device. Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone, in any modern browser.

Which quality should I choose?
| Goal | Suggested quality |

| Best-looking result, printing | 90–95% |

| Small email attachments | 70–80% |
| Form with a strict size limit | 60–75%, check size after converting |
Which Image Formats Can You Convert to JPG?
| Format | What it is | What to know when converting |
|---|---|---|
| PNG | Lossless images, screenshots, graphics | Transparent areas get a background colour. Text can look slightly softer as JPG. |
| HEIC / HEIF | Default iPhone photo format | Live Photos become stills. |
| WebP | Modern web image format | Animated WebP becomes a still image. |
| AVIF | Newest web image format | Transparency becomes a colour. |
| GIF | Simple graphics and animations | Animated GIFs are saved as their first frame. |
| TIFF / TIF | Scans and professional photos | Files are large. Multi-page TIFFs can be split into pages. |
| BMP | Uncompressed Windows bitmaps | The JPG is usually far smaller. |
| PSD | Photoshop files | You get a flattened picture. Layers are not kept. |
| SVG | Vector graphics, logos, icons | Converted to a picture at its set size. For a sharp PNG at larger sizes, use SVG to PNG. |
| ICO | Icons and favicons | Small icons give small images. |
| Documents | For control over resolution (72, 150, 300 DPI), use the dedicated tool. | |
| JPG / JPEG | Already JPG | Re-saving at a lower quality can shrink the file. |
Tips for mixed batches
- Keep the original files until you've checked the JPGs.
- Use one quality setting for the whole batch. If some files need different treatment (for example a PDF at 300 DPI), convert them separately with the dedicated tool.
- Don't convert a JPG to JPG repeatedly. Each re-save adds a little compression.
- For logos, icons and sharp screenshots, consider PNG instead of JPG.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert images to JPG?
Open Teasoft's Images to JPG converter, add your files (any supported format, even mixed), choose the quality and background colour, click Convert to JPG and download the results as individual files or a ZIP.
Which formats can I convert to JPG?
PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF/TIF, PSD, ICO and PDF, plus JPG itself. You can mix formats in one batch.
Can I convert different formats at the same time?
Yes. Add PNG, HEIC, WebP and other files together and convert them all in one go. You don't need to sort them by type first.
How many images can I convert at once?
You can add up to 50 files in one batch, each up to 100 MB.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose in Settings. White is the usual choice.
What happens to animated images?
Animated files, such as animated GIFs, are saved as a still image. Only a single frame is kept.
Does converting to JPG reduce quality?
Slightly, because JPG is a lossy format. At 85–92% quality the difference is usually not visible for photos. Sharp text and graphics can look softer, so PNG may be better for those.
Why is my JPG larger or smaller than the original?
It depends on the source format. Converting from BMP, TIFF or PNG usually gives a much smaller file. Converting from HEIC, WebP or AVIF often gives a larger one, because those formats compress more efficiently. Lower the quality slider to shrink the file.
Should I convert to JPG or PNG?
Choose JPG for photos, sharing and the smallest files. Choose PNG for logos, screenshots, graphics and anything that needs transparency.
Can I convert a PDF to JPG here?
Yes, PDFs are accepted. For control over resolution (72, 150 or 300 DPI), use Teasoft's dedicated PDF to JPG tool.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens in your browser, and your files are never uploaded.
Can I convert images to JPG on my phone?
Yes. The converter works in the browser on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers. You do not need to install an app.
Is the Images to JPG converter free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no hidden fees.
