How Do You Flip a Coin Online?
To flip a coin online, keep Coins set to 1 and click Flip the coin. The result, Heads or Tails, appears instantly in big text. Each side has exactly a 50% chance, just like a real, perfectly balanced coin.
A coin flip is the classic way to settle a choice between two options. Use it to decide who kicks off a match, who goes first in a game, or which of two plans to follow. Flip 10 or 100 coins at once to see the heads and tails count, which is great for teaching probability in class.
Flips are made on your own device. Every result uses your browser’s secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), so it is fair, and nothing you type is sent to Teasoft.
What each number of coins shows you:
| Coins | What you see | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 coin | Heads or Tails in big text | Quick decisions and coin tosses |
| 2 coins | Both results and the count | Two-up and simple games |
| 5 or 10 coins | Heads and tails count plus each flip | Best of five or best of ten |
| 100 coins | Count of heads and tails, plus every flip as H or T | Probability lessons and experiments |
