    Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Teasoft image converter is completely free. You can convert, compress, resize and upscale images without creating an account, paying a fee or getting a watermark on your images.

No. Your images are processed directly in your browser and never leave your device. The only thing sent to our server is a quick security check from Cloudflare Turnstile, which contains no image data.

You can open JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, HEIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF, PSD, AVIF, ICO and PDF files. You can save them as JPG, PNG, WEBP, PDF, BMP, TIFF or ICO, and as AVIF in browsers that support it.

Add your HEIC photos, choose Convert, select JPG and click Convert to JPG. When the conversion finishes, download the photos one by one or all together as a ZIP file. It works on Windows, Android and iPhone.

Yes. You can add up to 50 images at a time, each up to 100 MB. All images are converted with the same settings and you can download them together as one ZIP file.

PNG, BMP and TIFF are lossless, so they keep every pixel. JPG, WEBP and AVIF use a quality setting: 85 to 92% looks the same as the original for most photos. Converting a JPG to PNG cannot bring back detail that was already lost.

No. JPG images have no transparency, so the background stays as it is. PNG keeps transparency when the original image already has it, for example a logo exported as PNG, SVG or PSD.

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background colour. White is used by default, and you can choose any other colour in the settings.

Photos straight from a phone or camera often shrink by half or more with no visible difference. PNG files are reduced to fewer colours, like TinyPNG. If an image is already well optimised, the tool keeps your original file.

Compressing reduces the file size in KB or MB while keeping the same width and height. Resizing changes the width and height in pixels. For the smallest files, resize large photos first and then compress them.

No. It uses high-quality resampling with adjustable sharpening, which works best at 2× for photos. SVG and PDF files are redrawn at the new size, so they stay perfectly sharp at any scale.

Yes. When you add a PDF, each page becomes a separate image at 72, 150 or 300 DPI. To make a PDF, choose PDF as the output format and combine all your images into one file on A4, US Letter or original-size pages.

Yes. Convert a PNG, JPG or SVG to ICO and the tool creates one favicon file that contains every standard size from 16 × 16 to 256 × 256 pixels.

Yes. The tool works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on phones, tablets and computers. Very large images may be scaled down automatically on phones because of browser memory limits.

These formats need desktop software to open, so they cannot be converted inside a browser yet. Export the file as PDF, PNG or JPG first, then use this tool.

    About Image Tool

The Image Tool is a free online image converter and editor. It changes images from one format to another, such as JPG to PNG, HEIC to JPG or PNG to WEBP, and also compresses, resizes, upscales, rotates and flips images, all from one page.

It is useful for students filling in online forms, bloggers and website owners who need fast WEBP images, designers who work with PNG, SVG and PSD files, developers who need favicons and social images, and anyone who wants iPhone photos to open on Windows.

The tool is organised into six parts. Convert changes the file format. Compress reduces file size. Resize changes the width and height. Upscale enlarges small images by 2×, 3× or 4×. Rotate & flip fixes photo orientation. HTML to image turns HTML and CSS code into a PNG, JPG or WEBP image.

Because the tool runs completely in your browser, your images are never uploaded to a server. This keeps personal photos and documents private, makes conversion fast, and lets you process up to 50 images at once and download them together as a ZIP file.
